Several of Bruces works remain at Gibson, where his Art guitars are so valued that they have never been offered for sale, in spite of repeated offers from avid collectors.The Bella Voce is based on Gibson’s ES-Les Paul, sharing most of the same geometry and electronics. But what sets it apart is the use of rare tonewoods and the finely detailed inlays and engravings that reflect Kunkels unique artistry.The semi-hollow body is made of mahogany back & sides and features an exquisite veneer of seven-A grade quilted maple, which is also proudly displayed on the headstock. The top, back and headstock are all bound with abalone that has been delicately laid with a fine attention to detail. Of special note is the inlaid armrest and pickguard.The mahogany neck has a rounded C profile with intricate inlays of pearl and abalone the full length of its ebony fretboard.
